Maxi dresses are a HUGE hit this season. We’ve seen the hottest celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria, Nicole Richie and Gwen Stefani all wearing the maxi dress this season. Be sure to find the perfect fit for your body type! There are TONS of maxi’s out there!
For a more flirty night out try H&M’s floral print maxi dress, or the lightweight daytime chiffon 3 tiered maxi from Topshop, or try something like Kim Kardashian is wearing, a thin striped black and white maxi from J.Crew.
Wedges are probably the most comfortable type of heeled shoe out there! They not only make your legs look fantastic, but you can wear them all day and night long. I have chosen a few of my favorite sandal wedges for this season!
Aldo has some great wedges this season! Check out the chic city wood base wedge, or the bright red colored espadrille wedge for that pop of color! I’m loving the nautical look that the Guess by Marciano wedge has to offer and the snake skin print wedge by Guess that has adjustable ankle strap.
Another favorite is the floral print Steve Madden wedge and the fuchsia colored espadrille wedge from Nine West, that was spotted in the New York Times, and is a definite head turner!

Who doesn’t love to feel outrageously girly?? I know I do! This is why I love this season’s hottest skirt trend – the pleated skirt! Look at how elegant, comfortable, and girly Olivia Palermo looks on a casual summer’s day in NYC! Maxi or midri, the pleated skirt looks great paired with any style of top on any type of occasion!
Check out Mango’s retro, high-waist midi accordion pleat skirt, or even the coral maxi skirt from Top Shop. One of my favorites has to be the maxi American Apparel cobalt blue pleated skirt. It is extremely elegant and yet still fun and girly!
During these hot summer days we have been having, who wants something that clings to their body? The pleated skirt is not only a hot trend this season it’s also lightweight and cling free! Something every fashionista wants!
Citrus squeeze yourself this season with bold bright citrus fruit colors! Use accessories to accent certain colors like orange, watermelon, lime, lemon, and grapefruit! Hot designers such as Stella McCartney, Prada, and Marc Jacobs are all using a little fruit punch in their collections this season!

Braids have been around ever since Lauren Conrad from The Hills always rocked one. This season they rocked the runways of Alexander McQueen, Hermes, Valentino, Prada and Jean Paul Gaultier. The braided hair can either be rocked casually or elegantly depending on the style. It’s a great hairstyle to wear to the beach or when you’re in the pool relaxing, and yet still sophisticated enough to be worn to a fancy dinner or a night out on the town.
A very 70s inspired trend, the floppy hat has made a comeback! They add a touch of glam for your daytime look yet looking stylish! Celebs like Vanessa Hudgens, Katy Perry, JLO, and Kim Kardashian have all made the floppy hat a great accessory!
Shorts are usually a hot trend for every spring/summer collection, however this year they seem to be dominating! Rachel Bilson and Halle Berry look drop dead GORGEOUS in anything that they wear, especially in shorts! Rachel looks sophisticated with her leather shorts, white top and black boyfriend blazer, paired with some black Christian Louboutin pumps and a Chanel clutch. Perfect for a night out! Halle’s look is more relaxing, with a graphic T, denim shorts and embellished sandals, you can’t go wrong for an every day look! So be sure to tell your ‘Shorts’ story!

Spotted! Our favorite polka dots of 2011! Be sure to get ‘spotted’ this season by rocking out in polka dots! This time around it is not your traditional black and white mixture, but more of your color on color mixture! Not only did Moschino’s collection rock a black and yellow spot collection but also a blue on red collection. This almost reminds us of our famous trend of the summer, Color Blocking! And let’s make something clear, this spotted trend won’t be going anywhere any time soon! Little secret: Marc Jacob’s F/W 2011 collection was FULL of spots on the runways!
