beauty Trend: Red Lipstick

Quick and easy beauty fix? Bright lipsticks always help make the face seem less ‘naked’.  Take Kourtney Kardashian and Blake Lively for example, their basic black outfit was quickly brighten with a red lipstick.  Red lips are BIG for this season, showing up all over fall runways, and goes well with any skin tone!  My top 5 favorite red hues for this season are:

1. Revlon – Really Red
2. NARS – Jungle Red
3. MAC – Russian Red
4. Estee Lauder – Love that Red
5. Chanel – Passion

As I prep for LG Toronto Fashion Week, I will most certainly be keeping red lips in mind!

Beauty Trend – Coral Lipstick

Even though fall is around the corner, who wants to waste these beautiful weeks thinking about gloomy days? Hello, we still have hot weather and sunshine, why not make a colorful statement on our lips as well! Coral lipstick is a great pick! Check out Kourtney Kardashian sporting coral lips. Not as bright as red or orange,  coral is softer, yet still provides us with the WOW factor. It adds a hint of color to our faces, perhaps even will enhance ones natural glow! **Make sure that your foundation and eye make up is light, the pop factor is in the lips!

Trash That! Good to Bad – Cosmetics

Not many of us know that all cosmetics have a shelf life! Who knew that nail polish expires? OR that powdered bronzers and blushes expire too?
Use our small guide to help you determine when your product’s time is up! And remember…TRASH THAT!

Violet … the new BLACK – Beauty 2011

Make-up artists are saying that purple is the LBD (Little Black Dress) of make-up these days. It is flattering on all skin colors, eye colors, hair colors – it is just VERSATILE! It goes well with everything! Take a jump and be a beauty daredevil. Try purple lipstick, but make sure you keep your eye color soft. Substitute black liquid liner for a purple one! And if you are a little less daring, try a plum colored nail polish like MAC’s Dark Angel. Be bold! Be PURPLE!
