On Sunday, April 28, 2013 NAFFEM (North American Fur & Fashion Exposition – Montreal) held a special event in collaboration with Bureau de la mode de Montréal. I was 1 in 9 fashion bloggers from across Canada who was fortunate to attend, and only 1 in 2 from Toronto {other being the fabulous Jenny from Crazy Style Love}. Our mission was to select our TOP TEN favourite fur items, and style our #DreamFUR. This was such an amazing experience and opportunity!

My Dream Fur was a sheared beaver bolero with sequin & crystal detailing, from Nobel Furs.  I styled it using a midi black skirt from DUY, a gunmetal gray crop top, and black pumps from Nine West! Hope you enjoy. ~Love CTina XO

Twin-Set Challenge!

Hey Loves! As most of you know I’m one of 11 Canadian bloggers who have a chance to win a trip to Milan! As half Italian, it would be such an honour to visit the homeland, to represent Canada’s fashion industry at the Twin-Set Fashion Show & to interview the talented Simona Barbieri, designer behind the Twin-Set brand!

The Twin-Set Challenge: Choose a fabulous Twin-Set blouse, and model the blouse in a setting in my favourite zone,  Toronto’s ‘Little Italy!’ The shot was taken out front of La Paloma Gelato Shop on St. Clair! MMM who doesn’t love the taste of sweet gelato and I wouldn’t be more excited than to eat some real gelato on the streets of Milan and of course practice my Italian!

Spring Trend: Pastel Pretty

Spring is here, well at least some days it’s here, but nonetheless the warmer temperatures makes us want to trade in the darks for something lighter, like pastels! Forever 21: LA x Cassie Summer 2013

As an avid lover for Forever 21, I was really excited to see the collaboration with Cassie for Summer 2013.  In the past, F21 has partnered with Indie designers like Rory Beca and Sky Ferreira for their capsule collections. Forever 21 prides itself on keeping customers in the know for up and coming designers and artists. Since the beginning, Cassie made a name for herself in the fashion industry, recognized for her edgy and unique style. With the launch of her new album (since 2006), will feature big names like Rick Ross and Wiz Khalifa! Things to look forward to in this amazing collection are leopard print harem pants, faux-leather moto vests, matte neon accessories and much more! The vibe is completely LA street wear from the 90s! Oscars 2013 – Best & Worst Dressed

We’re all still in an Oscar fashion daze! There were so many fabulous gowns that strutted the red carpet, that my best dressed list is far longer than my worst dressed, but don’t you worry there were still a few worst dressed ones out there! My best dressed list includes, Halle Barry, Jessica Chastain, Naomi Watts, Charlize Theron, Kerry Washington & Amy Adams! My worst dressed includes Jennifer Aniston, Anne Hathaway, Helen Hunt & Helena Bonham Carter. What were your top picks of the evening? ~Love CTina XO

Breakfast Television: Red Carpet Style Secrets

Hi Loves! As all of you know I was on Breakfast Television early this morning! If you missed the segment you can view it here! If you watched you know that I discussed tips and tricks to be Red Carpet ready! Thank you to the entire BTV team!! I had so much fun as always!

1. Spanx – All celebrities wear them including Sofia Vergara, Katy Perry, Gwyneth Paltrow, and many more! These body shaping undergarments will help you look extra fabulous while wearing your most fashionable red carpet dress!

2. Nubra Dreamshapers – You can pick these up at any lingerie store, mine are from La Senza. These are amazing to hold the girls in without having to worry about straps!

3. Jello – Long lasting lip colour doesn’t stay on from the lipstick you’ve purchased!  The best trick is to apply Jello before applying your gloss or lip colour.  Take a Q-Tip dip in water and into a cherry Jello powder and apply to your lip to create a long lasting stain! *Another tip is to apply vaseline on your teeth to help prevent lipstick from sticking on.

4.  Cellulite Cream – We all have that double chin and always wondered how to lift it without cosmetic surgery! Well Cellulite cream will work as instant lipo! Apply to the chin and jawline just before you apply your make-up and voila you’ll suddenly see a difference!

5. Hemorrhoid cream – For those tired eyes. We don’t want to strut our next major event looking tired. Apply some hemorrhoid cream to your under eye to get rid of bags and dark circles!

6. Visine – For stubborn zits, soak a Q-Tip with visine and apply directly on the zit.  This will help with redness and swelling of the zit!

7. Unscented Antiperspirant deodorant – We never want to walk in the spotlight with greasy looking skin. Applying a small amount of unscented antiperspirant deodorant to our chin, forehead, nose and upper lip will help with extra sweating on your face!

8. Pepto Bismol – While we normally take this for upset stomach, this pink fluid as a face mask will give you a MEGA glow even with make up on! Reminder – not for daily use!

9. Eyelash Glue – For any of those last minute malfunctions you think you may have just before you hit that carpet! Apply directly to your dress and skin!
