Hey Sailor – MAC Cosmetics

Thanks to a long time friend and fabulous make up artist, Becki, I was invited to the exclusive launch of the MAC summer collection, ‘Hey Sailor’ at the Sherway Gardens location. It was a very small and intimate gathering, with dancers, models, cocktails, finger foods and of course make-up!

The ‘Hey Sailor’ limited summer collection makes the 50s look so sexy! With less cooler tones and more warm bold tones, like reds, oranges, blues and greens this collection will get you noticed and bring out your retro side! Summer has officially started and I don’t see a cloud in the sky, which means shopping spree! I’ve been eyeing this two tone blazer for quite sometime now and picturing everything I could match it with. On Saturday I couldn’t resist sporting this outfit to a friends birthday downtown Toronto, which I received numerous compliments on my accessories and of course fabulous blazer! It seems the saying ‘April showers brings May flowers’ is false! We’re already into May and other than the weekends, the weekdays are miserable! Rain, rain and more rain!

Since my mom and I are the same size, we definitely rob, steal and borrow from each others closets! I couldn’t wait to jump into these white denim floral print jeans the minute I saw her pull it out of the bag! The cobalt blue flowers add a punch to your typical white denim! As for my neon necklace – I couldn’t just buy 1 I had to buy 2 and layer them to add more of a ‘WOW’ factor to the already big statement! America’s Next Top Model Live

Thanks to Rowenta Beauty Canada, I was the winner of a fabulous prize pack which included: 4 tickets to ANTM Live in Toronto, and $500 worth of products! I attended the show on Friday with my mother, which was a lot of fun! I love her as my sidekick to all these shows!! The show was pretty fabulous with most of the ANTM All Stars walking in a fashion show, and a very informative panel discussion about Fashion Blogging! I was fortunate enough to meet Lisa D’Amato, winner of America’s Next Top Model All Stars! What a fun, down to earth girl! There are two ways to wear bold bright colors…either by pairing them with other bright colors or toning them down with a neutral.  I bought these pants knowing exactly what blouse to pair them with.  This neon green top goes quiet well, and for months now I have been looking for something in this purple color as a bottom! ~Love CTina xo

I know it seems to be kind of early to wear white jeans but I can’t help myself with ‘breaking’ some fashion rules! I used to be a huge shorts and skirt type of girl, but recently jeans/pants have taken over my closet! Now don’t get me wrong, I still have tons of skirts and bottoms I’ll wear in the summer, but for these mild days I lean more towards trousers. The other day I decided to rock your classic black and white outfit but switching it up and adding a touch of gold! Some of you loves have left comments about sequin blazers or sequins in general, and how you never felt that you could wear them other than the holiday season.  Have you been inspired now?
